Stephen Cohen

Stephen spent 30 years as a dairy farmer including 9 years as secretary of the local LandCare Group and 17 years on the Board of an agricultural co-operative. He now lives in Tatura and runs a retail business while continuing a long history of community involvement as Chair of GV Agcare and representing the Goulburn Valley on the Board of RFCS VIC-NE.

Peter Gray

As a Certified Practicing Accountant Peter has worked with regional horticultural industries over many years, and has created strategic reports about their future direction. With a long-held interest in agricultural economics and education, he assists agricultural businesses on strategic and financial management as well as writes trade articles about the business of fruit growing.

Deborah Corbett


With 35 years experience in the public sector Deborah has a wealth of experience working closely with rural communities, small business, community service organisations and statutory authorities to develop effective public policy and raise awareness about the financial challenges faced by rural communities and industries in North East Victoria. Deborah is also an active member of the Indigo Valley Community and is the ATO representative at the Northside Chamber of Commerce. She was the first female committee member of Wodonga & District Turf Club, as well as holding a number of volunteer and committee positions in various community forums and North East equestrian clubs. Deborah has qualifications in accounting, tax, economics and law and feels that her broad experience in policy and governance will be an asset to RFCS VIC-NE.

Chris Thomas

Chris Thomas

Chris is part of the Milk Supply Group for Fonterra Australia in Northern Victorian and Southern Riverina. He has life-long experience in the dairy industry, offering skills in farm management systems and rural finance. He has carried out a wide degree of work in community organisations and has a passion for training and education for young farmers. He has been a Director of RFCS VIC-NE since 2006 as a representative of the founding member group MVRIAG.

Peter Huzzey

Peter Huzzey

With a background in family farming, Peter’s career was in corporate farming where he held management roles in an agribusiness group. Peter brings a wide range of experience to the Board in the agribusiness sector as well as other disciplines including; agriculture, engineering, construction, development, marketing and information technology. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree with a major in Marketing and is the Managing Director of a locally based website development and digital marketing business.

Dr Tim Clune

Dr Tim Clune

Tim has spent the last decade working in consulting and management roles and is currently the Manager, Risk and Business Sustainability with North East Region Water Corporation (NEW) where he is focused on developing behaviours, strategies and systems to improve water service delivery and manage business risk. Previously he was Centre Manager at the Department of Primary Industries in Rutherglen working in both research and science management roles. He is passionate about sustainable agribusiness and regional communities.

Wayne Donohue


Wayne was appointed as one of the AVCLP Member Directors on the RFCS VIC-NE/ABA Board in 2012. Over the past 15 years he has been involved with the Landcare movement, in particular with the Ovens Landcare Network and the North East Catchment Management Authority. Wayne comes from a rural background. He currently lives on a small beef cattle property in the Upper Ovens area. Wayne has extensive experience in Business Management and Not for Profit Community organisations. He was a participant in the 2004 Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program. He has helped develop, support and organise many projects encouraging sustainability in the rural areas of North East Victoria. As well as being heavily involved with community groups Wayne also runs a small rural business involved in sustainable water use.
